Hey Webmasters!New Photo Album Service Launched -Check it out!
Originally devised by Alfred Wainwright in 1973, the route is one of the most popular long-distance footpaths in the U.K.
The walk covers 190 miles and features 16,300 feet of elevation, starting at Robin Hood's Bay on the East coast and proceeding across the North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District, to finish at St. Bee's Head on the West coast. Whilst Wainwright suggests taking two weeks to complete the journey, we will aim for completion within 8 days.
We will be carrying all equipment and food needed for the walk and camping at the end of
each day. We will be taking a small stove on which to prepare simple meals and heat water.
